Education/Qualification

Essential criteria

  • Educated to Bachelor’s degree level in relevant field or equivalent
  • combination of post graduate qualification, courses and experience

Desirable criteria

  • Health Informatics, Information management or Statistics qualification.
  • Knowledge of NHS data standards and data definitions and NHS IM&T initiatives

Experience

Essential criteria

  • Extensive experience of producing management information and adding value to it for all tiers of a complex organisation

Desirable criteria

  • Analysing information in a health environment

Skills & Knowledge

Essential criteria

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both written and oral at all levels both within the trust and with external stakeholders
  • Proven track record of working under pressure to strict deadlines
  • Very high level of numeracy and problem solving skills
  • Advanced Architect and Developer skills in BI tools in particular Power BI
  • Querying and reporting against relational databases including uses of Structured Query Language (SQL) or similar
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Extensive knowledge of implementing information infrastructure and reporting suites

Desirable criteria

  • Advanced querying and reporting against large relational database management systems

Other

Essential criteria

  • High level of work organisation, self motivation and drive for performance
  • Reliance and ability to deal with conflicting views and emotional situations
  • Engages in constructive debate and participates in evidence based decision making
