Credit Controller

The role of Credit Controller in Brighton involves managing and maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments, and supporting the smooth operation of the accounting and finance department. You’ll play a key role in helping to maintain cash flow and build strong relationships with clients.

Description

• Chase outstanding payments from clients and ensure timely resolution of payment issues.
• Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and update customer accounts accordingly.
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
• Prepare and distribute regular reports on aged debt and payment status.
• Support the accounting and finance department with credit checks and account monitoring.
• Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams to address queries and provide solutions.
• Assist in improving credit control processes and implementing best practices.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Profile

• Experience in credit control or a related accounting and finance role.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities for client and team interactions.
• Proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.

Job Offer

• Competitive salary of £30,000 to £32,000, dependent on the level of experience.
• Permanent position based in Brighton.
