What you’ll be doing…

As the Cleaning Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality cleaning services across designated sites or facilities. You’ll manage cleaning teams, ensure compliance with health and safety standards, and maintain service excellence through effective planning, supervision, and communication.

  • Lead and manage cleaning staff, including recruitment, training, rotas, and performance
  • Ensure all cleaning services meet contractual, hygiene, and quality standards
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits to maintain high service levels
  • Manage stock levels and order cleaning supplies and equipment as needed
  • Monitor compliance with health and safety, COSHH, and other relevant regulations
  • Liaise with clients, facilities teams, and suppliers to resolve issues and implement improvements
  • Keep accurate records of staff attendance, training, and site reports
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service delivery

Working pattern: Monday to Friday, some weekend working required – 8am – 4:30pm

  • Previous experience in a cleaning supervisory or management role
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Good understanding of cleaning practices, chemicals, and equipment
  • Knowledge of health & safety and COSHH regulations
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • Good communication skills and confidence dealing with staff and clients
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
  • A proactive, hands-on attitude and commitment to service excellence
