Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team in the role of Store Person. This position involves working within a warehouse environment, supporting various operational functions including checking in and receiving stock. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring efficient flow of goods contributing to the overall productivity of the store. Prior experience as a warehouse operator is highly desirable, along with a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse. We can provide training for the right candidate.
• Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and organisation according to company standards.
• Check in deliveries and received intact.
• Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory movements accurately.
• Perform heavy lifting as required, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment, following safety protocols at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to optimise workflow and resolve operational issues promptly.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment, reporting any mechanical issues for repair or maintenance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in warehouse operations or related fields is desirable.
• Valid forklift licence or certification is desirable.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems is preferred.
• Mechanical knowledge or experience with equipment maintenance is advantageous.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
