Priory Hospital Altrincham islooking to recruit a Chef to join the team. This is a full timerole of 36.5 hours per week. Part time hours alsoavailable Priory Hospital Altrinchamprovides expert inpatient treatment for a range of mental healthconditions and addictions.
We alsoprovide established, evidence-based outpatient treatment for a widerange of mental health conditions, including depression, anxietydisorders, stress, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), phobias,post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and bipolar disorder. We alsooffer privateautism assessments for adults and children at PrioryWellbeing Centre Manchester.

What you’ll bedoing
You’ll be part of a dedicatedand compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smoothrunning of the hospital and to support the wellbeing of ourpatients. While your role doesn’t involve providing direct care,your contribution is vital in helping to maintain a safe,comfortable, and welcoming environment for everyone. Whether you’reassisting with day-to-day operations, keeping things organised, orensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays animportant part in creating a positive experience for those who liveand work here.
- Undertakes theplanning, preparation and cooking of meals, taking account of anyspecial requests or dietary requirements within theunit.
- Ensuring operational standards complywith the company’s Food Safety policies and guidelines andstatutory regulations.
- Takes full shiftresponsibility for the catering operation (in the absence of theHead Chef).
- Ensures the cost-effective andefficient control of stock including placing orders for foodproducts and the checking/reconciliation of deliveries.
- Monitors and adapts food production ensuring that thereis a minimum amount of wasted food.

Whatyou’ll bring to the role

- Numerate, literate and qualified to NVQ2 or equivalent& basic qualification in food hygiene.
- Organises and priorities own workload within establishedprocedure.
- Excellent communication andnegotiation skills
- Ability to monitor costsand liaise with suppliers
- Good organisationand time management
- Knowledge of specialiseddiets may be required (Dysphagia, Allergens, etc)
- First class customer serviceskillsExperience
- Experience within aprofessional kitchen environment
- Experienceproducing meals for large groups on time and tobudget
