Commercial Real Estate Associate (3+ Years PQE)
Central London
£65,000 – £80,000 DOE
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Real Estate Solicitor to join the London office of a well-established and growing full-service law firm.
The firm has developed a strong commercial property offering acting for a broad range of property investors, developers, landlords, tenants, business owners and financial institutions. The team handles both standalone real estate transactions and property matters forming part of wider corporate and commercial transactions.
This would particularly suit a solicitor with 3+ years’ PQE who is comfortable managing their own transactions but wants to join a practice with genuine scope to develop their career and client relationships.
The Role
You will manage a varied commercial property caseload, working closely with colleagues across the firm’s wider commercial practice.
The workload is expected to include:
- Commercial property acquisitions and disposals
- Investment property transactions
- Commercial leases and agreements for lease
- Acting for both landlords and tenants
- Licences to assign and licences for alterations
- Development and redevelopment matters
- Option agreements and property-related joint ventures
- Property aspects of business and company acquisitions
- Banking and property finance matters, including security and mortgage documentation
- Advising clients throughout transactions from initial instruction through to completion
The firm’s wider commercial offering spans corporate, banking and finance, construction and development, restructuring and commercial disputes, creating opportunities to become involved in matters where real estate forms part of a broader commercial transaction.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- 3+ years’ PQE in commercial property
- Strong experience managing commercial real estate transactions
- Experience acting for landlords, tenants, investors, developers and/or owner-managed businesses
- Confident drafting and negotiation skills
- The ability to manage transactions with appropriate autonomy
- Strong commercial awareness and client-facing skills
- An interest in developing long-term client relationships and contributing to the continued growth of the department
What’s on Offer
- £65,000 – £80,000, depending on experience
- Central London-based opportunity
- Established commercial property workload
- Broad exposure rather than a narrowly defined real estate role
- Direct client contact and responsibility for transactions
- Opportunity to work alongside complementary corporate and commercial teams
- Genuine scope to develop within a growing property practice
This is a particularly attractive opportunity for a commercially minded property solicitor who enjoys taking ownership of transactions and wants greater exposure to clients and a varied commercial real estate workload.
