Safety Advisor

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Safety Advisor to join a major energy infrastructure project based in Dunbar, Scotland.

The successful candidate will provide day-to-day health and safety support across the project, working closely with construction management, contractors and subcontractors to ensure high standards of safety and compliance are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day Health & Safety support across the project.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and safety observations.
• Review and support risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of work.
• Assist with incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Monitor contractor compliance with project H&S requirements.
• Work closely with construction management and subcontractors.
• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across the site.
• Ensure compliance with UK Health & Safety legislation and project standards.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Safety Advisor or HSE Advisor on major construction or infrastructure projects.
• Experience within energy, power, utilities, civils or similar sectors is highly advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation.
• NEBOSH, IOSH or an equivalent relevant qualification.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong site-based safety experience.
