Priory Hospital Cheadle hasan opportunity for a GMC registered Consultant Psychiatrist to joinour team.
Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal,Stockport is an inpatient mental health service for young peopleand adults. It is accessible by public transport, with local busroutes along Wilmslow Road and Cheadle Hulme and East Didsburyrailway stations approximately 1–2 miles from theservice.
What you’ll bedoing
In this role, you will play akey part in patient recovery, supporting the assessment anddelivery of tailored treatment plans while ensuring dignity,respect, and high standards of care.
- Taking clinical responsibility for patients, includingmultidisciplinary ward rounds, risk reviews, strategic reviews andthe development of a therapeutic milieu. Fulfilling the role ofResponsible Clinician to patients detained under the Mental HealthAct (1983).
- Supervising the process ofreferral and admission including contributing to preadmissionassessments of young people with other teammembers.
- Offering a psychiatricperspective to the multidisciplinary team in relation to theassessment, formulation and treatment of adults.

What you’ll bringto the role
Essentialfor the role – PsychiatryApplicants musthold MRCPsych (or an equivalent qualification), a CCT (orequivalent) and be included on the GMC Specialist Register, alongwith Section 12(2) approval and Approved Clinician status. Theymust demonstrate clinical knowledge, skills, and experiencerelevant to the speciality, the ability to work within and lead ateam, and a commitment to shared leadership, collaborative working,and service improvement. Candidates should also have evidence ofongoing continuous professional development.
