We are BX2 are currently looking for reliable and hardworkingGreenhouse Production Operativesto join our team on a temporary ongoing basis.
This is a hands-on role working bothinside greenhouses and outdoors, supporting the day-to-day production of plants. No two days may be exactly the same, and the role would suit someone who enjoys practical work and working as part of a busy team.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Planting and potting plants
- Picking and moving plants
- Preparing plants for dispatch
- Working on a production line
- General plant and greenhouse production duties
- Moving and handling plants and materials
- Keeping work areas clean and tidy
- Cleaning up after yourself and maintaining a safe working environment
- Working as part of a team to meet daily production requirements
- Working independently when required
- Working both inside greenhouses and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Carrying out any other general duties required to support the production operation
About You
We are looking for people who are:
- Reliable and punctual
- Hardworking and willing to get stuck in
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors
- Able to work as part of a team as well as independently
- Physically fit and comfortable with a hands-on role
- Happy working in a fast-paced production environment
- Able to follow instructions and maintain good attention to detail
- Flexible and willing to carry out a variety of tasks
Previous greenhouse or horticultural experience is an advantage, but full training will be provided.
Working Hours & Pay
12.71 per hour
Start times will generally be7:00am, 8:00am or 9:00am, depending on operational requirements, with shifts usually finishing at around4:00pm.
This istemporary ongoing work, with the potential for regular hours for reliable workers.
