Prepress Operator

Job Description:We are seeking a highly detail-orientedPrepress Operatorto manage high-volumeInDesign mechanicals, image correction, and print-ready file production. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accuracy, color consistency, and production readiness across all files in a fast-paced print production environment. This role is ideal for professionals experienced inprepress workflows, digital imaging, and Photoshop retouching, with the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines while maintaining exceptional quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage high volumes ofAdobe InDesign mechanical files, ensuring accuracy and production readiness
• Update layouts withcolor-corrected and retouched imagesfor print production
• Prepare and exportprint-ready PDFs for approval and final output
• Perform advancedimage editing, color correction, and retouching in Adobe Photoshop
• Ensure proper use offile formats, resolution standards, and color profiles across all output types
• Maintain consistency across large batches ofimages and production files
• Collaborate withprepress, production, and creative teamsto meet tight deadlines
• Perform quality control checks to ensureaccuracy before final print output
• Track file status includingincoming, in-progress, and approved-for-print jobs
• Support understanding ofprinting, finishing, lamination, and cutting workflows (preferred)

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency inAdobe Photoshop (required)
• Strong working knowledge ofAdobe InDesign and Adobe Acrobat for prepress workflows
• Strong understanding ofcolor correction, retouching, color spaces, and print production standards
• Knowledge offile formats, resolution requirements, and print-ready file preparation
• Ability to managehigh-volume workloads under tight deadlines with accuracy under pressure
• Strong attention to detail with ability toself-QC all work before submission
• Excellentcommunication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to collaborate acrossproduction and creative teams
• Strong problem-solving skills in afast-paced production environment
• Flexibility to adapt to changingproject priorities and production schedules
