Public Health Intelligence Officer

Good Afternoon,

I am currently representing Slough Council who are offering an initial temporary contract for a period of 6 months with a view to be extended or offered a permanent position for the right candidate at a rate which is negotiable dependent upon experience.

We are looking for a Public Health Intelligence Officer – Community Safety. This role will be based at: 25 Windsor Road, Slough, Berkshire, SL1 2EJ, Hybrid 2 days office based.

Responsibilities

• Develop excellent working relationships with internal and external partners to maximise the population benefit of public health programmes, particularly in relation to community safety.




• Produce analytical reports for key stakeholders, including senior managers and service leads, to monitor performance and support evidence-based decision-making.




• Provide information, analysis and support on public health project and programme performance.




• Contribute to the strategic development and delivery of public health intelligence programmes and projects, including Joint Strategic Needs Assessments (JSNAs).




• Analyse quantitative and qualitative data across all areas of work to identify trends, outcomes, performance and areas for improvement.




• Produce performance analysis to support performance reports, dashboards, presentations and other management information.




• Undertake forecasting, demand management and needs analysis to support service planning and decision-making.




• Contribute to the development of key public health documents, including Health and Wellbeing Board papers, needs assessments and health impact assessments.

Requirements

• Significant experience of evaluating projects, particularly preventive programmes and community-based health interventions.




• Experience of successfully influencing and negotiating with senior partners and key stakeholders to deliver change and improve services.




• Experience of managing, monitoring and reporting on project outcomes and budgets.
