Project Manager (Industrial Decommissioning Project)

Our client is undertaking a significant manufacturing facility decommissioning project as part of a strategic site closure and asset retirement programme.

Role Overview

Seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and coordinate the execution of a complex manufacturing facility decommissioning project.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day management of the manufacturing facility decommissioning project.
• Act as the primary interface between all project stakeholders.
• Coordinate activities associated with decommissioning, demolition, dismantling, disposal and environmental remediation activities.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones and deliverables.
• Facilitate project meetings and ensure effective communication across all workstreams.
• Monitor project performance and report progress, risks and key issues to stakeholders.

Site Coordination

• Coordinate ongoing site activities and remaining facility operations where required.
• Organise and prioritise work activities for remaining site personnel involved in cleaning, housekeeping, asset preparation and project support activities.
• Ensure safe coexistence of decommissioning activities with any ongoing site operations.

Candidate Requirements

Essential Experience

• Strong background in project management within industrial, chemical, manufacturing, environmental or engineering environments.
• Knowledge of environmental compliance, waste management and remediation activities.
• Strong planning, scheduling and reporting skills.
