We are seeking a proactive and organised Warehouse & Logistics Operative to support a technology-focused warehouse operation in Swallowfield, Reading. This role is ideal for someone with strong warehouse, inventory or logistics experience who enjoys working in a structured environment handling valuable technology assets and spare parts.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect and record incoming goods.
- Maintain accurate inventory, asset records and stock locations.
- Carry out stock counts, audits and resolve discrepancies.
- Pick, pack and dispatch equipment and spare parts.
- Prepare shipping documentation, labels and courier bookings.
- Coordinate deliveries, collections, returns and reverse logistics.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised warehouse.
- Support warehouse layout, labelling and space optimisation.
- Maintain warehouse systems, records and operational reports.
- Follow Health & Safety, security and asset protection procedures.
Requirements
Essential Experience
- Experience in warehouse, logistics, inventory control or stores.
- Strong stock control and goods-in/goods-out experience.
- Experience using WMS, ERP or inventory systems.
- Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Strong organisation, attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Desirable Experience & Personal Attributes
- Experience with IT hardware, technology or electronic components.
- Knowledge of asset management and KPI-driven operations.
- Forklift or pallet truck experience (training available).
- Reliable, professional and accountable.
- Strong communication, teamwork and customer focus.
- Process-oriented, proactive and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
