HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver – Full Time – Fakenham

We are currently recruiting professional Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join our customer’s fleet operating out of Fakenham, Wissington, Corby, March or Boston. This is a great opportunity to be part of ongoing, general-haulage work, working with a well-organised operation and modern fleet. We are looking for tramper drivers.

Schedule

Monday – Fridays available with an option for weekend work. However, a variety of shift patterns are available so please give us a call.

Average 12-13 hour shifts.

PAYE: (holiday inclusive)

Monday to Friday £18.00

Saturday £19.05

Sunday £19.61

Minimum 8 hour pay per shift

Duties

• Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Operate lorries in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies.
• Carry out safe, efficient, and punctual deliveries and collections
• Communicate effectively with traffic planners regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
• Remain compliant with EU Tachograph and WTD Driver Hours

Job role

• Full UK Driving Licence with C+E Entitlement
• Current DQC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum 2 years’ commercial driving experience, however all applications will be considered
• Must be punctual and reliable at all times
• No more than 6 penalty points (No DD’s or DR’s)
• A sound knowledge of Drivers Hours’ and Working Time Directive Legislation
• Be professional and well presented at all times

Salary: £18 – £19.61/hour Weekly Pay
