  • They are now looking for a UK Account Manager – Government Agencies to manage and grow relationships across UK government and public sector accounts.
  • n

  • This is a quota-carrying sales role focused on direct engagement with customers, supported by channel partners where appropriate.
  • n

  • The successful candidate will take ownership of assigned accounts, build strong relationships at multiple levels, develop a robust pipeline, and work closely with technical colleagues to deliver high-value solutions into complex public sector environments.

Role & Responsibilities

n

n

    n

  • As UK Account Manager, you will be responsible for achieving sales targets across an assigned public sector territory, managing customer relationships directly and driving new and existing account growth.
  • n

n

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

    n

  • Owning and developing sales activity across assigned UK public sector accounts
  • n

  • Selling directly to government and public sector customers, even where business is fulfilled through channel partners
  • n

  • Building strong relationships across multiple stakeholder levels within target accounts
  • n

  • Understanding each customer’s business, technical environment, operational challenges, and procurement process
  • n

  • Positioning relevant solutions around network visibility, cybersecurity, service assurance, and performance management
  • n

  • Developing and maintaining a strong pipeline of new and existing account opportunities
  • n

  • Prospecting consistently across both new and established accounts
  • n

  • Working closely with Sales Engineers to ensure effective technical positioning and ongoing customer support
  • n

  • Managing complex sales cycles from initial engagement through to close
  • n

  • Ensuring all activity follows company sales processes, policies, ethical standards, and revenue recognition requirements
  • n

  • Maintaining accurate forecasting, account planning, and opportunity management
  • n

  • Working collaboratively with internal teams and partners to support successful customer outcomes
  • n

  • Following company strategy and contributing to wider public sector growth plans
  • n

n

Qualifications / Key Requirements

n

n

You will be an experienced public sector / government technology sales professional with a strong background in networking, cybersecurity, IT

n

infrastructure, service assurance, or related enterprise technology solutions.

n

You will also bring:

n

    n

  • 5+ years’ sales experience within networking, cybersecurity, infrastructure, or enterprise IT solutions
  • n

  • 5+ years’ experience within the IT industry
  • n

  • Proven experience selling into UK public sector, central government, local government, or related public bodies
  • n

  • A strong understanding of complex government sales cycles, procurement processes, and stakeholder engagement
  • n

  • A demonstrable track record of consistent quota achievement and territory growth
  • n

  • Proven ability to develop and manage a strong sales pipeline, ideally around 4x quota coverage
  • n

  • Strong experience managing large, complex accounts directly
  • n

  • Ability to build trusted relationships across senior, technical, commercial, and operational stakeholders
  • n

  • Strong new business development skills, with the ability to identify, pursue, and close opportunities
  • n

  • Experience working collaboratively with Sales Engineers, channel partners, and internal technical teams
  • n

  • Strong understanding of the technology market, customer challenges, and enterprise buying processes
  • n

  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills
  • n

  • Ability to travel across the UK as required, with occasional wider travel if needed
  • n

  • A degree in Computer Science, Technology, Business, or a related field would be advantageous.
  • n
