We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Paediatric Nurse with significant experience in emergency medicine and trauma care to join our dynamic and forward-thinking team.

Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in delivering outstanding care and helping us continue to provide an exceptional service for patients and families.
About You
- Degree or Diploma level education. Registration as a Registered Nurse (RN Child, RNLD or RSCN).
- A relevant post-registration qualification appropriate to the speciality.
- The ability to effectively lead, support, and motivate a team.
- Excellent clinical knowledge and decision-making skills.
Main duties of the job
Some of your responsibilities will include
- To co-ordinate and provide skilled nursing care to patients, in accordance with responsibilities under the NMC Code of Conduct.
- To participate in the continued development of nursing, including the supervision, teaching and development of junior nurses and support staff.
- Act as an advocate for patients.
- To plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for patient attending a busy paediatric ED/Acute Assessment Unit in consideration of individual need, using prioritisation and delegation skills.
- To assist the department Manager in managing and developing the Ward/Department.
- To work collaboratively within a Multidisciplinary team, internal and external to the organisation, to facilitate holistic seamless care delivery for all Patients.

- Mentoring experience with nursing students and one-to-one teaching of junior staff

- Significant experience within paediatrics and evidence of competencies achieved to move to a Band 6, eg completion of Competency Pathway at SC NHS FT
