Start: Immediate

We’re recruiting for a Service Desk Analyst to join an established Technology and Change team based in Burntwood.

There are currently two opportunities available – an immediate 6-8 week contract for someone who can start straight away, as well as the opportunity to be considered for a permanent position.

Working as part of a small Service Desk team, you’ll provide hands-on 1st and 2nd line IT support to users across multiple locations, resolving technical issues remotely and ensuring tickets are managed through to resolution.

What you’ll be doing

  • Provide 1st and 2nd line support across the business
  • Manage and resolve incidents and requests within agreed SLAs
  • Support Microsoft 365 / Office 365 applications
  • Manage Active Directory accounts, including new starters, leavers, permissions and password issues
  • Troubleshoot laptop, desktop, hardware and connectivity problems
  • Support mobile devices including Android phones and tablets
  • Manage tickets through an IT service management system
  • Liaise with third-party suppliers where issues require escalation
  • Maintain support documentation and knowledge articles
  • Support hardware ordering and device provisioning

What we’re looking for

  • Previous Service Desk, IT Support or Helpdesk experience
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 / Office 365
  • Good working knowledge of Active Directory
  • Strong hardware and connectivity troubleshooting skills
  • Experience using an IT ticket management system such as ServiceNow or similar
  • Confident supporting users remotely and over the phone
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users
  • Full UK driving licence

For the 6-8 week contract opportunity, you’ll need to be immediately available and already hold an active DBS.

The interview process will be a short Teams interview, with the successful contractor required to start as soon as possible.
