Nani Recruitment Ltd is recruiting experienced Support Workers with British Sign Language (BSL) skills for care and support services.
Essential Requirements:
– Previous experience as a Support Worker, Healthcare Assistant or Care Worker– British Sign Language (BSL) Level 2 or above– Confident communicating with service users using sign language– Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to complete the required DBS process– Right to work in the UK– Up-to-date mandatory care training– Ability to provide suitable employment references– Good written and spoken English– Reliable and professional
Desirable:
– Care Certificate– NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care– Experience supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, complex needs or hearing impairments– Experience using Makaton or other communication methods
Main Duties:
– Supporting service users with daily living activities– Communicating effectively using BSL– Supporting personal care where required– Promoting independence, dignity and choice– Completing care notes and handovers– Following safeguarding and health & safety procedures– Supporting service users in the community
