Site Engineer – Civil EngineeringLocation: Glasgow & Central Belt (within 1 hour of Glasgow)
Salary: 45-60,000 + package + company vehicle
About the Role
A well-established civil engineering contractor based in the West of Scotland is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to support a growing portfolio of projects across Glasgow and the Central Belt. With a strong and sustained workload secured within a one-hour radius of Glasgow, this is an excellent opportunity to join a stable and expanding business.
The Role
You will play a key role in the successful delivery of a range of civil engineering projects, working closely with site management to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities
Setting out and surveying works in line with technical drawings and specificationsLiaising with site teams, subcontractors, and design engineersEnsuring all works are carried out in accordance with health & safety standardsInterpreting and reviewing technical drawings, identifying any issuesMaintaining accurate QA documentation and as-built recordsSupporting planning and programme delivery on siteAssisting site and project management teams with daily operations.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Site Engineer within civil engineeringStrong setting-out capability using GPS / Total Station equipmentExperience within infrastructure, groundworks, or general civils projectsHNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering (or similar)Good knowledge of health & safety regulationsStrong communication and problem-solving skillsFull UK driving licence
