About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Practice Manager to lead the operational, financial and administrative functions of a busy NHS GP practice in Brighton & Hove.
This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the practice while supporting both clinical and non-clinical teams to deliver outstanding patient care. The successful candidate will play a vital role in driving service improvement, maintaining regulatory compliance, and supporting the long-term success of the practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the operational, financial and administrative management of the practice
- Support and manage both clinical and non-clinical teams
- Ensure compliance with NHS contractual, regulatory and governance requirements
- Oversee practice performance, budgeting and financial management
- Drive quality improvement and service development initiatives
- Manage workforce planning, recruitment and staff development
- Develop and maintain effective operational policies and procedures
- Build strong relationships with patients, staff and external stakeholders
- Ensure the delivery of safe, efficient and patient-centred services
What We’re Looking ForEssential
- Previous experience as a Practice Manager or in a senior healthcare management role
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Experience managing operational and financial performance
- Good understanding of NHS Primary Care and regulatory requirements
- Ability to lead service improvement and organisational change
- Proactive problem-solving and decision-making skills
Desirable
- Previous experience within an NHS GP Practice
- Experience with NHS contracts, CQC compliance and Primary Care Networks
- Knowledge of GP practice finance and workforce planning
- Management qualification or equivalent leadership experience
