Are you an experienced Early Years Practitioner ready to step into a Room Leader position?
We’re currently recruiting for a fantastic nursery in the Middlesbrough area looking for a passionate, confident and experienced Room Leader to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Early Years professional who wants to take the next step in their career, lead a team and make a real difference to children’s learning, development and wellbeing.
The Role
As Room Leader, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the room, ensuring children receive high-quality care, learning and development within a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment.
You will be responsible for:
- Leading and supporting a team of Early Years Practitioners
- Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities
- Supporting children’s individual learning and development
- Ensuring strong EYFS practice throughout the room
- Maintaining excellent safeguarding and welfare standards
- Building positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues
- Completing observations, assessments and planningSupporting and developing other members of the team
- Creating an exciting and inclusive environment where children can thrive
We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification
- Previous nursery or early years experience
- Previous Room Leader or senior practitioner experience is desirable
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- A genuine passion for working with young children
- A reliable, proactive and positive approach
- A strong understanding of safeguarding and children’s wellbeing
