Working closely with the Humanities team, you will design and deliver a dynamic curriculum covering physical and human geography, environmental issues, and fieldwork skills. This is a full-time, permanent role suited to an energetic, organized, and proactive educator.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach high-quality, engaging Geography lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE)
- Plan, resource, and deliver lessons that foster critical thinking, spatial awareness, and global enquiry
- Assess, track, and report on pupil progress, preparing Key Stage 4 students for GCSE examination success
- Organize and lead local and regional geography fieldwork trips to enrich practical learning
- Maintain high standards of classroom management and promote an inclusive, ambitious learning environment
- Collaborate with department colleagues to develop innovative scheme-of-work resources
- Serve as a Form Tutor, contributing to the pastoral wellbeing and holistic development of students
- Support the smooth day-to-day running of the Humanities department

Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognized UK teaching credentials (PGCE / SCITT)

- Proven track record (or clear potential during training) for delivering strong GCSE Geography outcomes
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire academically curious students
