Empowered Personnel is currently recruiting for an experienced FLT Counterbalance Driver to join a successful and growing business based in Hinckley.
This is a hands-on, varied warehouse role that combines FLT driving with Goods In, Goods Out, order picking and general warehouse duties. The successful candidate will spend a significant amount of their working day operating a Counterbalance FLT, unloading trailers, moving pallets and safely storing stock.When not operating the FLT, you will support the wider warehouse operation, including order picking, scanning, printing labels, stock control and despatch activities. There may also be opportunities to carry out local deliveries using the company van.
FLT Counterbalance Driver Key Responsibilities
Operating a Counterbalance FLT safely and efficientlyUnloading trailers and incoming deliveriesMoving and storing pallets and stock in designated warehouse locationsChecking incoming goods for damage, shortages or discrepanciesCompleting Goods In and Goods Out dutiesPicking and packing customer orders accuratelyLoading goods safely and securely for despatchUsing handheld scanners and internal systems to maintain stock accuracyPrinting labels and preparing goods for despatchMaintaining accurate warehouse records and paperworkCarrying out local deliveries using the company van when requiredKeeping the warehouse clean, organised and compliant with health and safety requirementsSupporting colleagues with general warehouse duties when required

Requirements
Valid, externally accredited FLT Counterbalance licence
essentialPrevious experience operating a Counterbalance FLT within a warehouse or distribution environmentGood understanding of warehouse and FLT safety proceduresReliable, punctual and hardworkingGood attention to detailAble to work safely and efficiently in a busy warehouse environmentComfortable carrying out both FLT and general warehouse dutiesGood communication and teamwork skillsAble to use initiative and take responsibility for completing tasksBasic literacy and numeracy skillsFlexible approach to the role and willing to support the wider warehouse teamFull UK driving licence desirable due to the local delivery element of the role
