Job Role of the Shift Maintenance Engineer
A fantastic opportunity which is not to be missed by a strong Shift Maintenance Engineer has come to the forefront. This is a brilliant opportunity to work in a fast-paced, automated manufacturing environment, with ongoing investment and clear progression routes (including the potential to move into Lead Engineer).
You will be responsible for carrying out electrical maintenance, fault-finding and planned preventative maintenance on a range of production machinery and site equipment—ensuring maximum uptime, reliability and performance on nights.
Sector – Factory Maintenance (Food/FMCG Manufacturing)
Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Shift Maintenance Engineer
- Electrical or mechanical maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience with planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance in a fast-paced factory
- Level 3 Engineering qualification (Electrical preferred / electrical bias)
Requirements for the Shift Maintenance Engineer
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills (single phase / three phase)
- Experience with motors, inverters and reading/updating electrical & mechanical drawings
- Mechanical competence with pneumatics and hydraulics
- Confident working safely to site procedures (LOTO / Lock-off Tag-out) and H&S standards
- Ability to support continuous improvement and carry out Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Comfortable recording/analysing downtime and maintenance data to improve OEE
