Business Development Manager
Surrey £40,000 – £45,000 Bonus Benefits
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a technically minded Business Development & Delivery Manager to join an innovative manufacturing and technology business with a strong international presence.
This role offers the chance to combine business development, account management and project delivery within a technically advanced environment. Working closely with engineering, manufacturing and commercial teams, you will play a key role in driving growth, managing customer relationships and delivering high-value projects from concept through to production.
The Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and developing existing customer accounts to generate repeat business.
- Identifying and securing new commercial opportunities across manufacturing, engineering and technology sectors.
- Leading customer projects through the delivery lifecycle, ensuring successful outcomes.
- Working closely with design, purchasing, finance and sales teams to coordinate project execution.
- Conducting market research and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities.
- Developing data-driven business development strategies and sales plans.
- Attending industry events, trade shows and customer meetings in the UK and internationally.
- Producing regular business performance and pipeline reports for senior leadership.
About You
We’re keen to speak with candidates who possess:
- Experience within business development, technical sales, account management or a customer-facing manufacturing environment.
- A strong understanding of engineering or manufacturing processes.
- Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
- Commercial awareness combined with a proactive, self-starting approach.
- Strong organisational and project coordination abilities.
- Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- A technical qualification or degree in an engineering-related discipline would be advantageous.
- Willingness to travel occasionally within the UK and overseas.
