Apprentice Specialist Support Assistant

As an Apprentice SSA you will work with theclassroom teacher to support students’ independent learning and progress inaccordance with the national curriculum and with behaviour managementstrategies. You will help prepare resources and the classroom for plannedactivities. You will work as part of a team to support the teacher.

You will be supported in the workplace and receive training andmaterials. Regular on-site meetings with your apprenticeship tutor will helpyou successfully complete the apprenticeship.

At the end of your contract, if you haveperformed well on your apprenticeship, you should be in a good position to beconsidered for a permanent role.

Our Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship will help you to:

• Gain a nationally recognised Level 2apprenticeship at no cost to you
• Work towards a Level 2 English and maths ifyou do not have GCSEs grade C/4, at no cost to you
