Dental Nurse & Receptionist – Dual Role
We are looking for afull-time, experienced Dental Nurse & Receptionistto join our busy practice in Stowmarket.
We are a busyPrivate and NHS dental practicewith a great team of dedicated dental professionals, all striving to deliver excellent patient care. Our practice is fully modernised, with digital X-rays and SfD dental software.
We are looking for someone who ischeerful, caring, efficient and organised, with excellent oral and written communication skills. You will be a confident team player who can work effectively both as a Dental Nurse and as part of our reception team.
This is adual-role position, workingMonday to Saturday, 5 days per week, with flexibility required to support the needs of the practice.
You will assist our excellent team of general dentists, support our implant clinics and take responsibility for reception duties as required.
What will you be doing? Dental Nursing Duties
- Welcoming patients and making them feel comfortable
- Providing chairside support to the dentist for a wide range of treatments
- Supporting our implant clinics and other advanced treatments
- Cleaning and sterilising instruments and surgeries
- Ensuring all relevant materials, instruments and supplies are available
- Updating and maintaining accurate patient records using the computer system
- Working closely with the dentist, responding quickly to requests and ensuring the surgery is always prepared for use
- Maintaining high standards of infection control and cross-infection procedures
- Supporting the smooth and efficient running of the practice
Reception Duties
- Welcoming patients and providing a friendly, professional first point of contact
- Answering telephone calls and dealing with patient enquiries
- Booking, changing and confirming patient appointments
- Managing the reception area and patient flow
- Taking payments and assisting with NHS and private patient administration
- Updating patient records and maintaining accurate information
- Liaising with dentists, nurses and other members of the team to ensure the smooth running of the practice
- Providing excellent customer service and ensuring patients receive a positive experience from arrival to departure
You must be registered with the GDC to apply for this position.
Previous experience in bothdental nursing and receptionwould be highly desirable. We are looking for someone who is adaptable, reliable and confident working across both areas of the practice.
Competitive salary, based on experience, will be discussed at the interview stage.
