Role: Digital Product Owner

Rate: £600/day inside IR35 (via Umbrella)

Location: London (twice/week onsite)

Duration: 6 month initial contract

Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking an experienced Digital Product Owner to join a leading Retail Bank, supporting a major banking migration programme. This role will suit candidates who have delivered large-scale banking migrations before, and are comfortable working in fast-paced, agile, change environments.

Key Responsibilities:

n

• Break down large, complex business and digital problems into structured work packages and epics

n

• Work closely with engineering to define deliverables, feeding refinement of high-quality user stories ready for development

n

• Balance business ambition against delivery constraints — challenge and negotiate scope with business owners to agree a deliverable minimum viable outcome within highly constrained timelines

Essential Skills & Experience:

n

n
• Proven experience as a Digital Product Owner on a mobile app within banking or financial services

n

• Background from a Business Analysis discipline, but also several years' hands-on experience operating as a Product Owner.

n

• Demonstrable ability to bridge business requirements and technical delivery, translating complex problems into structured, sequenced work

n

• Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills — confident holding the line on scope with senior business owners

n

• Comfortable working in a fluid, fast-paced environment without a fixed, pre-defined scope of deliverables.
