We are seeking applications for the post of Qualified NurseryAssistant for The Beeches Nursery in Aghalee Co. Antrim.
Main role:
- Responsible for the provision of planned programs of care, which ensures the safety and well-being of children
- Responsible for the agreed implementation and provision of a range of activities and intervention strategies designed to maximise the potential of learning opportunities for children within a nurturing environment
Duties will include:
- Supervision of children to ensure their safety
- The provision of appropriate personal care to children, changing nappies/clothes as necessary, supervising toileting and personal hygiene routines
- Following structured activity programs, arranging naps/rest periods, playtimes as agreed for each child
- To be available at all times to talk to, listen, comfort and encourage the childeren in your care
- Implement agreed policies and procedures in place in the unit
- To contribute to the maintenance of records as required by the manager
- Participate in staff development and in-service training as required
- Liaise with parents and other professionals as necessary
- Ensure the procedures are adhered to in respect of: Health and Safety, Fire Prevention and Confidentiality
Hours of Work: 30-35 hours per week (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday). Caring for children aged 1 to 10 years.

Essential criteria:
- Level 2 Childcare & Education or above
- Willing to complete First Aid & Child Protection Training
- Past Experience within a similar setting
- Good communication skills are essential
Desirable criteria:
- Experience preferred but full training will be given
- Full clean driving license
- Child protection certificate
