PrioryHospital RoehamptonLead DBT Therapist to join theteamFull-time/37.5 Hoursrole. We support people facing a widerange of mental health challenges, providing specialist care fordepression, anxiety and addictions. Our team offers tailoredtreatment for substance addictions, including alcohol, cocaine andheroin, as well as behavioural addictions like gambling. We alsoprovide outpatient support for adults with eatingdisorders.

What you’llbe doing

You will play a key part in their recovery, assistingqualified staff with the assessment and implementation ofindividual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks andactivities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing,dignity and treatment of patients.
- Lead and develop the DBT programme atPriory Hospital Roehampton, ensuringhigh-quality, evidence-based clinical practice.
- Provide clinical leadership, supervision andsupport to the DBT team, working closely with the widermultidisciplinary team.
- Deliverand oversee DBT interventions, including individual therapy andskills-based group work.
- Supportthe assessment, formulation, treatment planning and risk managementof patients with complex mental health needs.
- Monitor patient progress and outcomes, contributingto clinical reviews, governance and serviceimprovement.
- Help developDBT-informed practice across the wider service through training,consultation and collaborative working.
- Promote a compassionate, recovery-focusedtherapeutic environment where patients feel supported to buildhealthier and more fulfilling lives.

Your natural empathy will help you support othersthrough both the highs andlows.DBT Lead Therapist – MinimumRequirementsThe DBT Lead Therapist rolerequires a clinician who meets the minimum standard of havingcompleted Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Foundation Trainingaccredited by British Isles DBT Training. This ensures a core levelof competency in DBT principles, including skills training,individual therapy structure, and adherence to the DBTmodel.
The post holderwill be expected to demonstrate a sound understanding of DBT theoryand practice, with the ability to apply this within a clinicalsetting, support the delivery of DBT-informed interventions, andcontribute to maintaining model fidelity within theservice.
In addition, the postholder will be supported and expected to undertake furtherprofessional development whilst in post, including progression toIntensive DBT training, in order to strengthen clinical expertise,enhance leadership capability, and support the ongoing developmentand quality assurance of the DBT programme.
The successful candidate will play a keyrole in delivering a highly specialist therapeutic service forindividuals requiring DBT intervention. This position involvessignificant leadership responsibilities, including supporting theongoing development and growth of the DBT service at PrioryHospital Roehampton. The post holder will ensure program fidelityand team adherence by guiding colleagues across various treatmentmodes. Additionally, they will be responsible for tracking clientprogress through outcome measures and liaising with primarytherapists to support continuous and successful serviceimprovement. Candidates must have a primary background as either aCBT Therapist or an IntegrativeTherapist.
