I’m working with Rathbones on 3 permanent Digital Application Developer opportunities, and we’re looking for strong software engineers who want to build customer-facing digital products rather than simply maintain existing applications.
The key thing to know about this search:
You don’t need to be a web + iOS + Android expert.
Rathbones is looking to hire the best engineers first and build the right balance of skills across the team.
We’re particularly interested in people who have:
- Built greenfield applications/products from scratch
- Developed customer-facing web applications, portals or mobile apps
- Strong hands-on experience with React / TypeScript, iOS/Swift/SwiftUI or Android/Kotlin
- Experience building and integrating APIs and application services
- Strong software engineering fundamentals around testing, CI/CD, architecture and secure development
- Experience working closely with Product, UX/UI, Architecture and Data teams
- Ideally, experience within Financial Services, FinTech or another regulated environment
- Exposure to AI coding/development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code or Cursor is a bonus
The team is building and enhancing digital capabilities across web and mobile, supporting client and adviser experiences across areas including investment, onboarding, reporting and servicing.
