We’re looking for a passionate and motivated Room Leader to join a beautiful nursery setting based in the countryside just outside Reading.
Surrounded by natural green spaces, this is a nursery where children are encouraged to learn, explore and grow through outdoor experiences and hands-on learning. Conveniently located just five minutes from the A33 and M4, the nursery is easily accessible from Reading, Shinfield, Arborfield, Swallowfield, Earley and Wokingham.
Whether you’re already working as a Room Leader or Room Manager, or you’re an experienced Level 3 Practitioner ready to step into a leadership role, we’d love to hear from you.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading and inspiring a team of nursery practitioners
- Creating a safe, stimulating and engaging environment for children
- Supporting children’s learning and development through high-quality practice
- Working closely with the Nursery Manager to maintain exceptional standards of care and education
- Building positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
- Ensuring safeguarding and welfare standards are always upheld

What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification
- GCSE English or Level 2 Functional Skills
- Experience working within an early years or nursery setting

- Passionate about supporting children to reach their full potential
- Confident leading by example and supporting colleagues
- Enthusiastic, caring and approachable
- A strong communicator with excellent relationship-building skills
- Committed to safeguarding and delivering outstanding practice
