Part Time Secondary School Counsellor

25.5hrs Per Week, Term-Time Only Required September 2026

Salary: PO2 – PO3 Scale (Pro-Rata 37,291 to £42,771)

The Counselling Service is well established and a highly valued, integral part of the school’s provision.

You will:

• Work well both individually and as part of a team to make a difference to the lives of children
• Be forward thinking, visionary, and able to work under pressure
• Be flexible with working arrangements
• Be able to work on your own initiative to plan and evaluate, managing a varied caseload

The ideal candidate will have as a minimum level of qualification a professionally accredited (BACP) Diploma in counselling (or be working towards accreditation).

Experience of working as a counsellor within a primary educational setting is essential and Art or Creative Therapies desirable.
