Head of Validation

An established pharmaceutical manufacturer is seeking an experienced Head of Validation to provide strategic and technical leadership across its validation function.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team and oversee validation across equipment, facilities, utilities, sterilisation, aseptic processing and GxP computerised systems, ensuring compliance with EU/US GMP and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead validation strategy across manufacturing operations.
• Oversee qualification and validation programmes.
• Provide technical leadership during audits and regulatory inspections.
• Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, IT and Regulatory teams.
• Drive continuous improvement and compliance.
• Lead, coach and develop the Validation team.
• Manage validation priorities, resources and KPIs.

Experience:

• Degree or equivalent in a relevant scientific/engineering discipline.
• Significant pharmaceutical or sterile manufacturing experience.
• Extensive GMP validation experience across multiple areas.
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary technical teams.
• Strong knowledge of EU/US GMP, Annex 1, Annex 11, GAMP 5 and ISPE.
• Excellent project management and organisational skills.
