Your new company Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering with a well-established and highly successful manufacturing business that supplies major retail and commercial customers across Ireland and international markets. With continued investment, strong growth plans and a reputation for quality, they are now seeking to appoint a Commercial Management Accountant to join their finance team.

Your new role Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for delivering accurate management information, insightful financial analysis and commercial reporting to support strategic and operational decision-making across the business.Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting packs
- Delivering commercial and financial analysis to support business performance
- Product costing, margin analysis and profitability reporting
- Monitoring production yields, waste and operational efficiencies
- Inventory analysis including stock movements, slow-moving stock and stock adjustments
- Managing month-end close activities including accruals, prepayments and reconciliations
- Budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting
- Variance analysis with detailed commentary on business performance
- Developing financial models and management reporting tools
- Supporting pricing decisions through accurate costing information
- Maintaining financial controls across ERP, purchasing and inventory systems
- Providing weekly and ad hoc sales and commercial reporting
- Supporting the continued development of business intelligence and reporting systems
- Partnering with operational, commercial and senior leadership teams across the business
What you’ll need to succeed
- Qualified or part-qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
- Previous experience within management accounting, commercial finance or financial analysis
- Strong understanding of month-end reporting, budgeting and forecasting
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including financial modelling and analysis
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to communicate financial information effectively to non-finance stakeholders
- Experience working within manufacturing, FMCG or a product-led business would be highly advantageous
- Exposure to ERP systems and Power BI would be beneficial
