Workshop Operative Ventilation Manufacturing
The Opportunity
3 Peaks Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with an established and growing business within the ventilation and manufacturing sector to recruit experienced Workshop Operatives for their Ballyclare facility.
This is a great opportunity for dependable, practical minded individual to join a busy workshop team, supporting the manufacture and assembly of ventilation ductwork and associated products.
Previous sheet-metal, ductwork or HVAC experience would be an advantage, but it is not essential. We are also keen to hear from people from other skilled trades who are comfortable using tools and keen to learn and develop new skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture, prepare and assemble sheet-metal ductwork and ventilation components
- Use hand tools, power tools and workshop machinery safely following appropriate training
- Measure, mark, cut, form and assemble materials in line with job instructions
- Work from basic drawings, measurements and production information
- Check completed work for accuracy and quality
- Prepare and organise materials and finished components for production or dispatch
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment
- Follow all health & safety procedures and use the required PPE
- Work closely with the wider workshop team to meet production schedules and customer deadlines
- Take part in training and develop your knowledge of specialist ductwork manufacturing
What We’re Looking For
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in a relevant trade or practical discipline
- Experience within a practical trade, workshop, manufacturing, mechanical or construction environment
- Confidence using hand tools, power tools and practical measurements
- A mature, dependable approach with strong attendance and timekeeping
- Good attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work
- Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions
- Ability to travel reliably to Ballyclare for the required start time
