Class 1 HGV Driver – Garretts Green, Birmingham
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 1 HGV Driver to join our well-established client based in Garretts Green, Birmingham.
This is a fantastic opportunity offering regular, ongoing work with fixed start times and a choice of day or night shifts.
This role would sit applicants who have worked as a Class 1 LGV Driver, Category CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver
Rates of Pay:
- Days: £16.25 per hour
- Nights: £17.25 per hour
Shift Pattern:
- Monday to Friday
- Day shifts starting at 6:00am
- Night shifts starting at 6:00pm
- Fixed start times
- Flexible working week

Day-to-Day Duties:
Your duties as a Class 1 HGV Driver are:
- General haulage deliveries
- Loading and securing loads safely
- Strapping down loads correctly
- Completing vehicle checks
- Adhering to all road transport and health & safety regulations
Essential Skills:
To be successful as a Class 1 HGV Driver, you will need:
- At least 1 year’s experience driving Class 1 HGV vehicles
- Valid UK Category CE Driving Licence
- Valid CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
- Good knowledge of UK roads
- Confident in securing and strapping loads
- Reliable with a professional approach
Training:
- Site paid induction provided
