I am a 14-year-old autistic boy with a PDA profile.
I enjoy football, animals, exploring,gamingand creating jokes.
I need someone who understands autism and PDA, and who can adapt theirlanguage,so it feels non-demanding. It is important to me that I am offered choice,flexibilityand clear explanations. I may need support from someone who can stay calm and keep things safe if Iam finding things difficultor my behaviour becomes challenging.
Role overview
I am looking for someone who can support me to getout and aboutin the community and enjoy days out. Overnight care may also be needed if my parent is admitted to hospital or has surgery. This support can take place in my own home if needed.
Hours and pay
- £13.45 per hour + expenses
- Annual leave 5.6 weeks pro rata
- My schedule can be shared so the PA can let us know what support they can offer on a weekly,fortnightlyor monthly basis.
- Flexible hours to suit my needs and the PA’s availability
Skills and qualities
- Patient and able to give me time and space when I need it
- Caring and respectful
- Outgoing and willing to support me with activities I enjoy
- A good sense of humour and happy to get involved in my interests
- Amale personal assistantis preferredbut applications will be consideredon their merits
- Must have a driving licence and access to a car
- PVG membershiprequired
- Able to provide overnight care whenrequired
