We are currently recruiting for an experienced Cook/Catering Team Leader to join the catering team at Clifton Hospital, Lytham St Annes. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with strong catering experience and leadership skills to support the delivery of high-quality meals within a healthcare environment.

This temporary position is initially for a minimum of 3 months, with the possibility of extension through to after Christmas.

Working Hours

• Approximately 28 hours per week
• 4 days per week
• Alternate weekends required
• Shift pattern: 09:30am – 5:00pm

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals to a high standard.
• Lead and support the catering team during shifts.
• Ensure food is prepared and served in line with dietary requirements and food safety standards.
• Maintain excellent levels of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
• Support stock control and ordering processes.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Cook, Chef, or Catering Team Leader.
• Level 2 Food Safety Certificate (essential).
• Strong understanding of food hygiene and safe working practices.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Reliable, organised, and able to work independently.
• Experience within healthcare, care homes, hospitals, or large-scale catering environments would be advantageous.
