Class 2 Driver
Excel Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Class 2 HGV Driver for our client based in the Newry area.

Responsibilities
As a Class 2 Driver, you will play an important role in ensuring goods are delivered safely and on time, while providing a professional, friendly and reliable service to customers.
- Safely operating a Class 2 HGV vehicle
- Ensuring loads are secure and all relevant paperwork is completed accurately
- Planning routes effectively and ensuring deliveries arrive on time
- Checking goods and obtaining customer signatures where required
- Maintaining the security, cleanliness and general upkeep of the vehicle
- Reporting any delivery or vehicle issues to the relevant manager
- Providing excellent customer service and representing the business in a professional manner
- Working safely and complying with all relevant Health & Safety procedures
Requirements
- Clean HGV Class 2 licence
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Valid Driver CPC
- Previous HGV Class 2 driving experience
- Good knowledge of the North and South of Ireland road network
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible, positive and professional approach to work
- Strong planning and organisational skills
- Customer-focused attitude
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
- Willingness to undertake any required training
Benefits
- £15.57 per hour
- 45 hours per week, Monday-Friday
- Overtime paid at 1.5x
