Supply Chain & Purchasing Manager

Supply & Purchasing Manager – Birmingham (Hybrid Working) – 6 Months – Inside IR35

Our client a global telecommunications organisation are looking for an experienced Supply & Purchasing Manager to join the team on an initial 6-month contract.

This role will play a key part in managing supply planning, purchasing activities and supplier engagement, ensuring products and services are delivered efficiently while balancing customer demand, inventory levels and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage supply planning and purchasing activities across the supply chain
• Support demand forecasting and inventory optimisation
• Work closely with suppliers to ensure continuity of supply
• Monitor supply chain performance and identify improvement opportunities
• Drive purchasing governance and best practice processes
• Mitigate supply risks and resolve sourcing challenges
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across operations, commercial and procurement teams
• Produce reporting and insights to support decision-making

Experience Required

• Strong background in supply chain, purchasing or procurement management
• Experience within complex operational environments
• Knowledge of supply planning, forecasting and inventory management
• Proven supplier management and stakeholder engagement skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Experience driving process improvements and operational efficiencies

Desirable

• Telecommunications experience
• Experience working within large, complex organisations
• Exposure to supply chain transformation programmes
