Job Title: General Maintenance Operative / Handyperson
Location: Harrogate
Salary: £30,000 – £31,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week (rotating shifts)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a General Maintenance Operative / Handyman to join an established business. You will support the maintenance, security and general appearance of the site, carrying out a variety of practical and operational duties.
Responsibilities Of General Maintenance Operative / Handyperson
- Carry out general repairs, plumbing, heating, painting and maintenance
- Secure buildings and respond to alarms and emergency call outs
- Identify and report hazards and defects
- Prepare rooms for events and meetings
- Assist with deliveries, waste and recycling
- Respond appropriately to emergencies
- Follow safeguarding, health and safety and site procedures
Skills & Experience
- Previous maintenance, caretaking or handyperson experience
- Full clean driving licence
- Basic IT, English and numeracy skills
- Good understanding of health and safety and COSHH
- Comfortable working at height with appropriate training
- Reliable, flexible and physically capable
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Professional approach
In return, you will receive £30,000 – £31,000 per annum, plus several fantastic benefits working for an established workplace.
