The Role and Company:
I am looking for a driven Data Analyst / Cyber Security Analyst with a strong data analytics skill set to join a large nationally recognised brand head quartered in the West Midlands.
As a Data Analyst within the Cyber Security team, you will play a key role collecting, analysing, and interpreting Cyber Security related data to identify vulnerabilities, threats and detect suspicious activity. You will support the wider team to deliver a comprehensive programme of security testing, including vulnerability scanning and security configuration reviews, ensuring weaknesses are identified early and accurately.
Responsibilities:
- Analyse the impact and severity of identified vulnerabilities based on factors such as the likelihood of exploitation, potential impact on the business, and existing security controls.
- Collaborate with system administrators, developers, and other stakeholders to develop and implement effective remediation plans to address identified vulnerabilities in a timely manner.
- Generate detailed vulnerability assessment reports, including findings, recommendations, and risk assessments, to communicate the status of vulnerabilities to management and stakeholders.
Experience required:
- Previous experience in a similar Data Analyst ideally within a Cyber Security team or environment or with a keen interested or degree in Cyber Security.
- Excellent analytical and investigative skills
- Previous experience with Power BI is preferred.
- Effective communication, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Must either hold SC clearance already or be eligible to obtain this if successful
