Our client seeks a Software Engineer to join their team on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Key Responsibilities

Depending on your area of expertise, responsibilities may include.

• Designing, developing and supporting business-critical applications and services.
• Delivering modern software solutions using Microsoft and cloud technologies.
• Defining solution architectures and technical designs that support strategic business initiatives.
• Designing, developing and enhancing capabilities within the Salesforce platform.
• Building and maintaining integrations between enterprise systems and third-party platforms.
• Supporting and optimising cloud infrastructure and platform services within Azure environments.
• Driving operational excellence through monitoring, observability, automation and service reliability practices.
• Developing and maintaining automated testing frameworks and quality engineering standards.
• Supporting DevOps, CI/CD and infrastructure automation initiatives.
• Contributing to technology modernisation, platform upgrades and transformation programmes.
• Collaborating with business stakeholders, project teams and technology colleagues to deliver successful outcomes.
• Championing engineering best practices, innovation and continuous improvement.

Key Skills and Experience

• Software engineering and application development.
• Microsoft technologies including Azure, .NET, C#, Power Platform and associated services.
• Solution architecture and technical design.
• Salesforce development, administration or platform engineering, or transferable software engineering skills with the ability to develop Salesforce expertise.
• Cloud Operations Engineering, platform engineering, infrastructure engineering or site reliability engineering.
• Test automation, quality engineering and automated testing frameworks.
• API development, application integration and distributed systems.
• DevOps tooling, CI/CD pipelines and automation practices.
• Monitoring, observability, incident management and operational resilience.
• Agile software delivery and modern engineering methodologies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Experience within financial services would be advantageous but is not essential.
