Security Clearance: Must be eligible for UK SC ClearanceWe are recruiting for an experienced Quality Inspector to support a major engineering programme based at Leicester (Radar Road). This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-profile project, ensuring the quality of manufactured and welded components supplied into a regulated engineering environment.Working closely with suppliers and project teams, you will be responsible for reviewing quality documentation, inspecting manufacturing activities, and ensuring compliance with project and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and verify supplier quality documentation.
- Inspect welded and machined components to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Review Quality Control Plans (QCPs) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
- Assess weld schedules, weld maps and associated Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
- Work with suppliers to ensure manufacturing and inspection activities meet required quality standards.
- Support quality assurance activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify quality issues and assist in driving corrective actions where required.
- Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate and compliant with project requirements.
Essential Requirements
- CSWIP 3.2, CSWIP 3.1 or PCL Level 2 (Weld Inspection) qualification.
- Experience reviewing weld schedules, weld maps and associated welding procedures.
- Strong understanding of Quality Control Plans (QCPs) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
- Experience inspecting both welded and machined components.
- Previous experience working within a project environment managing supplier quality documentation.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong documentation review skills.
- Eligible to obtain UK Security Check (SC) Clearance.
