Business Support OfficerHourly Rate: 13.90 PAYELocation: Council House and Chelmunds Place / Hybrid. Wednesday’s and Friday’s are typically onsite days per week, subject to change. 2 days onsite per week.Working Schedule: Monday – Thursday: 8:50am – 5:20pm, Friday’s 8.50am – 4.30pm. 1-hour unpaid lunch per day. 37 hours per week.Duration: Temporary basis, 3 months.Opus People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our Client, Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council, for a Business Support Officer on a temporary basis to join the Home Finding Team within our Commissioning for Children, Young People and Families Service. Working on a full-time basis you will work with Senior Home Finding Officers and colleagues from other service areas to support care arrangements for children we care for.
Duties Include
- Maintaining information systems and providing general administrative support to the team.
- Mailbox management
- Producing contracts
- Support with cost reviews
- Due diligence checks
- Uploading information to systems and responding to queries.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience in Commissioning, Placements, Home Finding and Brokerage is beneficial.
- Confident in using Excel.
- Significant previous experience of office administration
- Ability to organise and prioritise competing demands
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience of using a wide range of computer packages including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook (or equivalent)
- Experience of working under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Previous experience in a fast paced environment.
- 4 GCSE’s or equivalent graded at C/4+ or NVQ level 2
