Quality Support Technician

Location: Swadlincote

Linkster Recruitment is proud to be supporting a leading aerospace manufacturing business in Swadlincote with the recruitment of motivated and detail-driven Quality Support Technicians to join their established Quality Department.

Main Duties Quality Support Technician

• Logging non-conformances and completing first-contact scrap reviews
• Carrying out first-off inspections when required
• Supporting containment activities to address quality concerns
• Raising engineering change requests to support continuous improvement
• Communicating quality alerts clearly across relevant departments
• Ensuring compliance with AS9100, customer quality procedures, H&S, COSHH, ISO 14001 and environmental requirements
• Assisting Quality Engineers with internal and external non-conformance investigations
• Conducting shop-floor audits and supporting inspection activity where required

Requirements Quality Support Technician

• Previous experience within quality inspection, manufacturing quality or quality assurance
• Aerospace or automotive quality experience would be advantageous, although applicants from general manufacturing QA backgrounds will also be considered
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Understanding of customer specifications and traceability requirements
• Computer literate, with experience using MS Office; inspection software or ERP system knowledge would be beneficial

Shifts Available

Rotating Days (AM/PM)

• Weekly rotating day shifts: Mornings and afternoons, Monday to Friday (05:00-12:40 / 13:00-20:40)
• Grade 5 pay rate: £15.51 per hour including shift allowance
• Annual salary (37.5 hrs/week): £30,285 including shift allowance

Permanent Nights

• Sunday to Thursday 21:00-04:40
• Grade 5 night rate: £16.55 per hour including shift allowance
• Annual salary (37.5 hrs/week): £32,272 including shift allowance
