New 2026: This ‘old school’ firm is seeking to expand its London office and searching for an entrepreneurial IP Partner to build and lead its well thought of practice. Youwill be looking for a ‘long term home’ and bring a strong track record in advising on complex IP matters. You will have a clear business idea and the ability to contribute to the strategic growth of the department. You will lead and develop the firm’s IP offering across contentious and/or commercial IP matters. You will manage a portfolio of high‑value client relationships across technology, life sciences, media, retail, or manufacturing sectors; oversee and mentor associates, contributing to team development and knowledge sharing; drive business development initiatives and collaborate with partners across corporate, commercial, and litigation teams; and provide strategic advice on patents, trade marks, copyright, design rights, brand protection, licensing, and IP disputes.
Based in the City of London, Dan qualified as a solicitor in 2003 and is the owner of one of the longest serving legal recruitment agencies in London and the South East of England, Ellis-Wake. He regularly advises his clients on the complexity of the legal market, on their strategic future and is a known ‘connector’ and ‘influencer’ in the recruitment market.
