Senior Legal Counsel

About the Company

A rare opportunity has arisen to join a sophisticated and growing private investment office managing the affairs, investments and structures of an ultra-high-net-worth family with a global footprint.

About the Role

Working as part of a small, high-calibre team, this newly created role sits at the intersection of legal, operational and investment activities. Reporting directly to the COO, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting both established family office operations and the development of several new investment platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the review and management of third-party legal documentation, including NDAs and supplier agreements.
  • Supporting investment activities through the review of fund structures, limited partnership agreements, side letters and subscription documentation.
  • Coordinating external legal, tax and regulatory advisers across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Acting as company secretary for a range of entities, including preparation of board minutes and management of statutory requirements.
  • Supporting the establishment and ongoing administration of new investment vehicles and structures.
  • Coordinating annual tax-related information gathering across a network of family entities and stakeholders.
  • Maintaining governance frameworks, policies and procedures across regulated and non-regulated entities.
  • Supporting broader operational initiatives, including HR policy management and the implementation of best-practice processes.

Qualifications

You are likely to have approximately 5+ years’ experience within a legal, tax, fiduciary, private client, wealth management, family office or investment management environment.

This role offers a unique platform for long-term career development within a well-capitalised and expanding investment organisation. You will gain direct exposure to leading legal, tax, trustee and administration advisers while operating at the heart of a dynamic family office supporting multi-generational wealth and investment strategies.

The culture is collegiate, down-to-earth and highly collaborative, offering significant opportunity to broaden your experience and grow alongside the business.
