Construction & Projects Associate

Join a market-leading international practice and advise on the development and delivery of major construction and infrastructure projects. You’ll handle sophisticated front-end work for prominent clients, gain meaningful responsibility and collaborate with specialists across an international network.

A leading international law firm is seeking a talented non-contentious Construction Lawyer to join its highly regarded team in London.

You will:

• Advise on the procurement and delivery of major construction and engineering projects
• Draft and negotiate construction contracts, consultant appointments, warranties and related project documentation
• Advise on standard-form and bespoke contracts, including JCT, NEC and FIDIC
• Support clients with procurement strategy, contractual structures and risk allocation
• Work across sectors including infrastructure, energy, real estate and transport
• Collaborate with colleagues across multiple practice areas and international offices
• Build strong relationships with developers, investors, contractors, funders and other project stakeholders

The ideal candidate will have:

• 3-7 years’ PQE, or equivalent experience
• Strong front-end construction experience gained within a recognised practice
• Experience drafting and negotiating construction and engineering documentation
• Excellent technical, drafting and communication skills
• A practical and commercially focused approach
• The ability to manage complex matters and work collaboratively
• E&W qualificaiton is preferred, but candidate qualified in common law jurisdictions will also be considered
